Bought a couple of these for Christmas but ended up drinking them in the new year. Both were good with a meal and appreciated by the others at the table. The second was decanted and showed more flavours.

A consistent turn-to from my son and I when we look for a good rioja , old -world charm with the long palate and cherry , vanilla and fruit drop flavours of a good wine . The Reserva it has to be though- I thought that was just a standard superlative but it matters here.
