This silky Pinot Noir rose is from a modern, well-equipped cellar in the Balatonboglar region of Hungary. The grapes were selected from hillside vineyards close to Lake Balaton where the warm, but not too hot climate is perfect for Burgundy's famously finicky variety. Chief winemaker Gabor Lazcko, one of the country's top winemakers, worked alongside the renowned Australian viticultural consultant, Richard Smart, who has 220 research papers and publications to his name. Gentle pressing and cool-fermantation has captured all the lush red fruit flavours of the revered Pinot Noir grape, leaving behind the tannins to produce a delightfully refreshing and aromatic pink that is delicious served chilled on its own or with canapes.
