A tiny parcel of vines owned by and adjoining the vineyards of Chateau Cantenac Brown, the superb 3rd growth Margaux. The vineyard was but a few meters outside the Margaux appellation though so can only be classified as Bordeaux Supérieur. The wine is made in exactly the same way as Cantenac Brown, vinified in their winery, and then aged in one year old Cantenac oak barrels. The result is a ripe, rich and complex claret that sits way above its Bordeaux Supérieur status. At under £15 this is a bargain from a great year.
