Echo Falls is the 3rd biggest wine brand in the UK. Hailing from California, it’s a range of wines that’s all about relaxed enjoyment, fun and living the moment. Californian wines have taken the UK market by storm over the last 15 years, and has now over 14% of the UK market, but Echo Falls in particular has captured the attention of wine drinkers, who want to relax and enjoy the occasion, with a sparkling, white, rose or red wine.
What's The Background To Echo Falls?
Echo Falls is a lifestyle brand, which is all about enjoyment, spontaneous occasions, unexpected moments and with a chilled out, relaxed vibe. It’s a brand that is frequently seen on our TV screens, as the sponsor of the highly popular ‘Come Dine with Me’ TV series, which is all about new discoveries, unexpected meetings and scenarios, spontaneous successes and unplanned disasters!
Echo Falls was created by a team of Californian winemakers, who wanted to make fresh, fruity, easy-drinking wines, mainly from the Central valley in California. They captured the style and taste that is so popular in the UK, and have created a range of 12 different white, rose and red wines, including a sparkling, plus some innovative Echo Falls spritz cans, for a lower alcohol, refreshing drink.
What Styles Of Wine Does Echo Falls Make?
Echo Falls is all about fresh, fruity, refreshing, easy-drinking wines, which are not too challenging and not too complicated. They are made for enjoyment, relaxation, and as part of an occasion, not the occasion themselves! The whites are fresh, and lively, ranging from dry, to off-dry; the Roses offer the classic Californian medium sweet fruity pink style, whilst the reds are soft, low tannin with lots of juicy, jammy fruit to the fore.
The range starts with a simple Red, white and rose wine. The red is soft and juicy, the white, medium dry and fruity, and the rose offers a medium sweet style. Simple, easy, and approachable.
The white wine range covers our favourite white grape varieties – Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. The focus is on fruitiness, liveliness and enjoyment. The Pinot Grigio has a gentle, floral and delicate fruit character and the Sauvignon a zesty, citrussy tang, whilst the Chardonnay has a richer, smoother, but still soft tropical fruit tang.
White Zinfandel is the classic rose from California; medium sweet, with juicy, strawberry fruit flavours. Echo Falls sparkling White Zinfandel is a lively, fizzy, party drink, with juicy, fruitgum flavours, as is the still version. The Echo Falls Pinot Grigio Rose is a soft, off dry Rose, with a fresh style.
Echo Falls red wines follow a similar style, in that they focus on the chill out, easy-drinking, soft and juicy style. There are 3 varietals, a plummy, juicy Merlot, a taste bud tingling, very fruity Cabernet Sauvignon, and a warm, velvety, spicy Shiraz.

Echo Falls White/Red/Rose – these are easy drinking wines, which are great on their own, or a good suggestion for weekday suppers, and TV dinners!
Echo Falls Chardonnay – the soft, peachy fruit flavours work well with chicken pie, salmon steaks and creamy pasta.
Echo Falls Sauvignon blanc – fresh, lively and citrussy, this is great with grilled or barbecued fish, stir fries and chilli spiced prawns. Or just great on its own.

Echo Falls White Zinfandel – tutti frutti flavours of strawberries, raspberries and cream. Intensely fruity, but with a lively citrussy edge. Perfect with fruity desserts, party snacks and also would actually work with some spicy Indian dishes.
Echo Falls Cabernet Sauvignon – a fruit bomb of blackcurrant flavours, with a soft, moreish style. Great to go with stews, roast beef and spicy Mexican food.
Echo Falls Shiraz – chunky, fruity, spicy and with an edge of chocolate, it’s great with spicy Indian or Thai dishes, fajitas and barbecued ribs.
Echo Falls Merlot – soft, juicy and fruity, this is a great all rounder, and weekday red, with pasta, pies, and braised beef.
Echo Falls Malbec – the national grape of Argentina, this is a big, bold, bruiser of a wine, with a deliciously moreish edge of spice and richness – it’s got to be steak or roast beef!
