Details About Wairau Cove Sauvignon Blanc

Wairau Cove Sauvignon Blanc is made in the extremely popular Marlborough region, in New Zealand in a winery founded in 2004. This wine is quite popular when on offer and people seem to like it according to their reviews.

Wairau Cove Sauvignon Blanc Tasting Notes

Wairau Cove is crisp and versatile and displays aromas of passion fruit and gooseberry like most classic Sauvignon Blancs made in the region. This wine will be best appreciated well chilled with some crisps to nibble or nice spicy prawns. You shouldn’t leave it in your cellar for more than a year if you want to drink it at its best.

I know my wine and this one when it is on sale is the best. Love it.

Pleasent at best. MUST be well chilled
Rating:   3/5

A '3.5 star' at best. Only drink when wine is well chilled. Taste very different & not particularly good as flavour changes drastically for the worse when allowed to gain any temperature. How Tesco can ever purport this bulk delivered in tanker wine, which they then bottle themselves to be a £12.49 wine which through the goodness of their heart they sometimes reduce to under £6.00, I'll never understand. Should be no more than £6.50 at tops (always). Plenty of better New Zealand sauvignon-blancs out there at a less or similar price.

Better than bottles TWICE it's price!
Rating:   5/5

I bought this on recommendation a while back and absolutely love it! I keep my eyes open and try to stock up when it drops to the bargain sub-six-pounds price Tesco offer it for occasionally. Very light, sharp and clean. Perfect for summer drinking in the garden. Buy it! In fact, don't! Leave it for me! ;-)
